Arachova-Amfikleia-Drymaia-Mount Kalidromo-Anavra-Agios Seraphim-Komnina-Karya-Regini-Zeli-Elatia-Distomo-Arachova (approximately 245 km).
Beautiful stage with 2 WRC Acropolis stages. One stage up to our lunch restaurant and the other in the afternoon. The afternoon stage is a new version of an old route, never used before. It starts near Regini village with a winding and tough climb of 13 km up to Zeli village. Turning right at Zeli village, there’s another 10 km of a wide and fast trail reaching the end of the stage near Elatia village.
Connections with other trails to return to the same hotel in Arachova.
Overnight and dinner at the hotel.
10/07/2024: New route
Arachova-Variani-Kaloskopi-Mavrolothari-Neochori-Pyrgos-Grammeni-Kalamaki-Ligaria-Ipati (approximately 257 km).
Beautiful stage with 2 WRC Acropolis stages (September 2023).
Before noon, we cross a large part of the WRC stage at Mavrolithari village, following the route that goes through a forest on a narrow, winding 15 km trail. We will leave the stage by a connecting trail to cross Mount Oiti. Stunning scenery.
In the afternoon, we tackle another rally stage of 20 km.
Perhaps the most technical and challenging stage of the rally. It is mostly uphill, with some downhill sections, relatively narrow (except the last three kilometers), with many jumps, some fast and others slow.
Overnight at the hotel in the small village of Ipati and dinner at a restaurant near the hotel.
10/08/2024: New route
Ipati-Papas-Gianitsou-Rentina-Loutropigi-Lake Smokovo-Molocha-Karpenisi (approximately 244 km).
Before noon, we will ride on another legendary rally stage, the “Tarzan” stage.
This special stage, originally called the Fourna and Rentina Test, is an unusually tough 23 km challenge. The name "Tarzan" comes from George Burgos, a native of Fourna in Evrytania, who lived in Athens and was a police officer. He suffered from tuberculosis and was given only a few months to live. He moved to Fourna and reached the age of 92.
The Acropolis rally passed by George’s hut, nicknamed "Tarzan," starting from the 22nd edition of the rally in 1975. At that time, the special route was called "Fourna." The stage first appeared under the new name "Tarzan" during the 26th Acropolis Rally in 1979, in honor of George Bourgos, who had become a well-known and beloved figure among drivers and event organizers. The full presence of the stage in the rally continued until the 42nd edition of the event in 1995.
Overnight and dinner at the hotel in Karpenisi.
10/09/2024: Partial new route
Karpenisi-Mount Kaliakouda-Roska-Skopia-Mesokomi-Koniska-Karpenisi (approximately 220 km).
A beautiful loop of trails in the Evrytania prefecture to return to Karpenisi.
Overnight and dinner at the same hotel.
10/10/2024: Partial new route
Karpenisi-Kokalia-Ambliani-Artotina-Mount Vardousia-Diakos-Mavrolithari-Stromi-Gravia-Arachova (approximately 233 km)
Overnight and dinner at the hotel in Arachova.
10/11/2024: Partial new route
Arachova-Distomo-Analipsi-Evagelistria-Thiva-Loutraki (approximately 262 km)
In the morning, we will ride a WRC stage from Elikonas village to Evanggelistria village (21 km).
After lunch, we will follow beautiful trails and 2 WRC stages before arriving in the town of Loutraki and our hotel.
A stage that starts near Dafni village up to Eryhtres (18 km). Going up, there are five consecutive hairpin turns, and after one kilometer we enter a “forest” of wind turbines. At the 8th km, we turn right on a very fast descent to the Prophet Ilias monastery and the tarmac.
In the Loutraki area, we will cross part of the 20 km WRC stage before the tarmac and our final destination (our hotel).
Overnight and dinner at the hotel.
Before our evening meal, we will all meet at the hotel bar. We will close the evening with various drinks and canapés and share our thoughts on our journey.
10/12/2024: Bus departure to Athens airport.

Climate
Greece enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. In summer, temperatures can easily exceed 30°C, especially in the islands and coastal regions, providing ideal conditions for swimming and outdoor activities. Winters are cooler, with average temperatures around 10-15°C, and offer a different experience of Greece, particularly for visiting archaeological and historical sites without the summer crowds. The shoulder seasons, in spring and autumn, offer pleasant weather and moderate temperatures, perfect for exploring the country.
Currency
The official currency of Greece is the Euro (EUR), which facilitates transactions for visitors from other eurozone countries. International credit and debit cards are widely accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and shops. ATMs are easily accessible in cities and even in most islands. However, in small villages or remote areas, it is advisable to carry enough cash, as electronic payment options may be limited.
Health
Greece does not pose major health risks for travelers. Tap water is drinkable in most areas, but bottled water is recommended in some islands or rural areas. The healthcare system in Greece is well-developed, with medical facilities and pharmacies easily accessible in major cities and tourist destinations. It is always recommended to travel with health insurance covering medical care abroad and to check with your doctor for recommended vaccinations before departure.
