Travel Program
Day 1: Departure from the outskirts of Marrakech, a well-known and lively city in Morocco, towards Dades. You will cross the Atlas through magnificent mountain trails. Admire the panorama, what a panorama! As far as the eye can see, colorful mountains that, depending on sun exposure, geological composition, or cloud cover, offer here a green slope, there fairy chimneys, there a smooth wall, and further on contrasted strata... and snow. These trails are sometimes technical and pass through small, very isolated villages often off the beaten path. You will arrive in Boulmane Dadès.
Day 2: Dades, a city at the foot of the High Atlas with a breathtaking view, from where you will depart to M’Hamid, near the Algerian border. You will leave the mountains to reach the Chegaga desert. You will take the Djebel Saghro trail, magnificent and surprising, passing through large valleys with volcanic landscapes and through the Tizi n'Tazazert pass towards N’Kob. Following a trail along the beautiful Draa River with its palm groves and kasbahs, you will arrive in M’Hamid, close to the dunes...
Day 3: Dune loop, you will follow a sandy trail to the Chegaga Erg, a sand massif approximately 40 km long and 15 km wide with impressive dunes, some reaching up to 300m in height. Sand and dunes as far as the eye can see... impressive, magnificent… where you can enjoy yourselves with caution.
Day 4: Marathon stage towards Merzouga via a sandy trail along the Algerian border. You will drive for kilometers through a vast oued. Magnificent, varied, and for those who love sandy trails, you’ll be in for a treat. As you approach Merzouga, in the distance you will see the Erg Chebbi with its unique sand color, very different from the Chegaga Erg. You will stay in a bivouac... quite unexpected...
Day 5: Right after breakfast, you will tackle the dunes for a breathtaking day across the Erg Chebbi, another major erg in Morocco. The spectacular golden dunes rise to 150 m. You will fully enjoy your vehicles and have fun climbing increasingly higher dunes... At the end of the day, a trail will lead you to Erfoud where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest at the hotel.
Day 6: Loop from Erfoud, a town known for fossil extraction, through trails that are sometimes sandy, sometimes rocky, and rather rolling. You will cross small dunes and plateaus. This last stage will conclude your raid. We hope it will be filled with beautiful memories of landscapes and driving pleasures, and that you will have experienced a week of freedom.

CLIMATE
Typically Mediterranean, the Moroccan climate is divided into two seasons.
The warmest, dry season, with pleasant days (20-25°C), extends from May to September. The rest of the year, the cooler and wetter season takes over. Despite these defined periods, the Moroccan climate remains highly variable depending on the region.
Note that nights can be particularly cool, even in the dry season.
CURRENCY
The local currency is the Dirham. Since it is not a convertible currency, it is best to exchange your Dirhams on-site and spend your local money before returning home. International credit cards are widely accepted for purchases and activities in tourist areas. Currency exchange can be done at hotels and in banks.
HEALTH
There are no specific health risks in Morocco. Potable water is available in major cities and some villages. However, it is recommended to drink mineral water. If you are fond of raw meats or other uncooked foods, we advise against consuming them during your trip.
